All of the Orthodox Jewish newspapers are joining the Jewish community’s Gedolim and community leaders in endorsing Assemblyman Dov Hikind for reelection. The most recent endorsement came from The Five Towns Jewish Times wrote yesterday:
“The editorial board of The Five Towns Jewish Times gives its enthusiastic endorsement to Dov Hikind for NY State Assembly representing the 48th District (Boro Park and Flatbush). Dov Hikind has proven himself a tireless fighter for the entire Jewish community and in particular his constituents. He is at the forefront of every major Jewish issue concerning the welfare of the community and has lead countless fights on behalf of our causes, institutions and individuals. In his last two years in office, he has effectively delivered an unprecedented security-surveillance system to his community, delivered substantial financial aid to rabbinical college students via the Tuition Assistance Program, brought financial relief to parents of children with special education needs, and delivered fully-paid return transportation for yeshiva children.
“Hikind is one of New York State’s greatest champions of yeshiva Education Investment Credits which, when passed, will ease the burden of all parents with children in yeshivas. The New York Jewish community, and Brooklyn in particular, is indeed fortunate to have such a champion as Dov Hikind fighting for them. The Five Towns Jewish Times is extremely grateful for all that this extraordinary statesman has done over the many years for Klal Yisroel.”
