Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) received a report regarding two additional Jewish institutions being photographed in Brooklyn, both within the vicinity of Beth Torah and the Edmund J. Safra Synagogue, which were cased and photographed on the Sabbath (Saturday).

“We gave all of the information we received to the NYPD’s 66th Precinct,” says Hikind. “They responded immediately.”

Police are still seeking the two men who attempted to enter the Beth Torah synagogue located on Ocean Parkway on the Sabbath. Hikind says that video surveillance from the cameras that he had installed in the community are being used.

Last night, Assemblyman Hikind met with Steven Powers, Chief of NYPD’s Brooklyn South. “I am confident that Chief Powers and his team are doing everything necessary to protect our community. Nevertheless, it is always prudent to remain cautious and report anything suspicious.”
