“Leave Nothing of Value in Your Vehicles”

Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) joined the NYPD 66th Precinct and Boro Park Shomrim in a patrol along 20th and 21st Avenues in Brooklyn Wednesday morning to assess the vandalism of 11 vehicles.

“I encourage everyone to not leave loose change or valuable items in your vehicles when you park. Leave nothing visible,” Assemblyman Hikind said. “Don’t give these criminals an incentive to do harm.”

Hikind added, “I applaud the Boro Park Shomrim and the 66th Precinct for a swift response to the scene, and am so very thankful for their due diligence.”

“Be sure to park your cars in well-lit areas and don’t leave anything of value in your vehicles,” said Captain Kenneth Quick of the NYPD 66th Precinct.

Quick acknowledged that some property had been taken from the vehicles broken into, and that police officials are still processing the scene.
