7-15-14, 5:59 PM (Israel time) - Our plane had to take a different path in but we just landed. So grateful to Hashem to be here! There’s an alert at the airport and we’re being told to get out NOW… will head to Be’er Sheva ASAP…

7-14-14, 9:45 PM (EST) - We are at El Al and ready to leave. Our plane, which has over 400 seats, is half empty. This is a particularly strange sight because, normally, this is one of the busiest times of the year where flights are full. But people are frightened now, understandably, and there have been many cancellations. The impact on Israel’s economy from terror attacks is illustrated for me by this sad picture of our half-empty plane. The restaurants and hotels will be half empty, too… But I am eager to arrive in Eretz Yisroel and grateful to Hashem for this opportunity.
