Assemblyman Dov Hikind met yesterday with Captain Kenneth Quick of the 66th Precinct regarding the ongoing issue of commercial trucks parking overnight along 21st Avenue in Boro Park. The Assemblyman was joined by members of his staff, Community Board 12 Chairman Yidel Perlstein, District Manager of Community Board 12 Barry Spitzer, and community members Moshe Weber and Shloimy Gombo, who live in the vicinity.

“We had an excellent meeting,” said Hikind. “Since we first addressed the issue, the police have been dealing with the illegally parked commercial trucks along 21st Avenue. These trucks are regularly ticketed. We are staying on top of this issue and the police are doing everything in their power to ensure that area residents will be protected at night and over the weekends. They will also continue to issue tickets and tow trucks, as well as post extra patrols at night. In addition, there are also several other options that they will be exploring.”
