Please find below an email from the 68th Precinct Community Council with information on street closures, which will be implemented for the wake and funeral services for Police Officer Wenjian Liu.

As many of you know the wake and services for Police Officer Wenjian Liu are going to be taking place in our community this weekend.

The wake will be on Saturday at Aievoli Funeral Home (1275 65th Street) from 1pm to 9pm and the funeral service will be on Sunday beginning at 11:00 am.

It is expected that there will be thousands of people coming to pay their respects to the fallen officer.

Please note that the following street closures could change based on need and we will keep you updated if they do.

On Saturday there will be no parking on 13th Avenue between 62nd Street and Bay Ridge Parkway (75th Street).

On Sunday there will be no parking on:

12th Avenue between 65th Street and Ovington Avenue
13th Avenue between 62nd Street and Bay Ridge Avenue

62nd Street between 10th and 13th Avenues (railroad side of the street)

Although not in our precinct there will also be no parking on
15th/16th/and 17th Avenues between 65th Street and Bay Ridge Parkway (75th Street)

These parking restrictions will be in effect beginning at 2am.

65th Street will also be closed to traffic on Sunday from 8th Avenue to 19th Avenue starting at around 9am (again this is approximate).

If anyone wishes to attend there will be an area set up for the general public on 14th Avenue and 65th Street. There will also be large screen televisions set up outside for those wishing to view the service.
