Assemblyman Hikind (D-Brooklyn) and the OU Job Board will present their 5th job fair in Brooklyn from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 23 at the Young Israel of Midwood, 1694 Ocean Avenue. An impressive list of top companies will be meeting with residents to discuss immediate openings and opportunities. The dozens of companies on hand will include Americare, B&H Photo, Forest Hills Financial Group, New York Life, and Price-Waterhouse.

“These job fairs have proven to be excellent opportunities for members of our community,” said Assemblyman Hikind who has worked for years with the OU Bob Board, as well as local banks and the SBA to provide employment and business opportunities for community residents. “Attendees of our job fair will walk away with new contacts and interview opportunities that, in the past, have often led to employment. I am proud to have personally witnessed hundreds of our community members receiving jobs as a result of our previous four job fairs. This is part of our ongoing effort to make a difference in people’s lives.”

“The OU Job Board has successfully run job fairs for the past seven years, becoming invaluable to employers by encouraging the attendance of only those qualified for the positions advertised,” explained OU Job Board Executive Director Michael Rosner. “The job fairs presented by the OU Job Board average 600 attendees.”
